Most exercise programs try to develop training programs, which develop the skills and techniques helpful to the pregnant woman not only during childbirth but also during and after her pregnancy. As exercise during pregnancy also helps in maintaining the physical and mental fitness of the mother during pregnancy it is important that women who suffer from depression etc to make sure that they take part in some form of physical activity during pregnancy. Simple exercises like walking, stretching, yoga, swimming are considered safe during pregnancy as they help in strengthening the muscles.
