Pregnancy : Exercise in Pregnancy. |

Exercise in pregnancy has proved beneficial to many
expectant mothers, though how much exercise and what kind of exercise
is a fact which may vary from person to person. Most doctors do recommend
a little bit of exercise during pregnancy provided there are no medical
complications and the type of exercise is safe for the mother to be.
Studies have proved the benefit of exercise during pregnancy. Some benefits
of Exercise during pregnancy are that it is known to ensure a healthy
pregnancy, reduce the time spent in labor, prevent caesarean sections,
aid recovery after childbirth, and get back to their pre-pregnancy figure.
It has been seen that women who have never exercised earlier may begin
light and simple exercises during pregnancy but it is not recommended
to begin any form of exercise in the third trimester, as it could trigger
of a medical emergency or complication in the pregnancy.
Even though exercise during pregnancy has many benefits it is important
to bear in mind that one might need to modify heir exercise routines depending
on health factors like any previous history of miscarriages, or premature
labor or other medical complications. All exercise performed during pregnancy
must be begun only after consulting a doctor regarding the safety, intensity
and form of exercise.
There were times when people thought that pregnancy meant complete rest
with very limited physical activity for the mother, but now that research
has proved the benefits of exercise in pregnancy, most doctors recommend
moderate amount of exercises during pregnancy given that there are no
medical complications to suggest otherwise.
