Healthy family relationships have far reaching effects on people societies and economies. Studies have shown that people who share healthy relationships among their family members are well balanced and positive in their outlook towards life. This healthy outlook relates itself positively into other aspects of their life, thus ensuring them a better and happier life.

Children belonging to parents who share healthy relationships grow up with the same values as their parents and find it easier to maintain relationships within their own spheres. Children who are grow up in a positive and healthy atmosphere can handle the stresses and strains of their day to day activities with much more confidence and optimism than children who come from broken homes or those who have had abusive parents. They have the courage and confidence to stay away from anti social activities and not given into peer pressures.

Members of family who share a good understanding are more confident about themselves and are able to face the challenges in their life with more optimism and self-confidence.

In order to maintain good relationships among family members it is extremely important that the elders of the family establish certain rules and responsibilities. Together with these responsibilities they must develop good communication skills to increase their understanding of each other’s needs. Above all they must be willing to cooperate with each other in maintaining an equilibrium in their day-to-day activities. They must imbibe among themselves the values of compromising, of helpfulness, caring for each other and the need to take responsibility for their actions.

Along with the above characteristics the importance of love among family members to ensure healthy family relationships cannot be undermined in any way.
