Ideal weight for women |

There is no single means of determining ideal weight
for women. What may be the ideal weight for one woman may not be the ideal
weight for another woman.
There are many factors, which one must keep in mind before deciding whether
a woman is overweight or underweight or has an ideal weight. These factors
are mainly the built of the woman. A woman could be large and broad built
or small and short built, or medium built. Her body composition could
be muscular, athletic or thin depending on her lifestyle. A physically
active woman may have higher muscular or fat content than a woman with
a sedentary or less active lifestyle.
Many researchers have tried to form a general guideline to determine ideal
weight for women but since there are so many factors, which have to be
taken into, account that to rely on just any one method is not sufficient.
Some studies determine ideal weight as a ratio between weight and height
known as the body mass index. Many use this ratio as a guideline to determine
the ideal body weight.
Ideal body weight is dependent upon the total body weight with respect
to age, gender, genes, lifestyles, fat-muscle ratio and other aspects
like pregnancy or illnesses. The best way to determine ideal body weight
is to consult an expert physical fitness doctor. Nowadays there are many
options available to women who want to maintain their ideal weight.
Women who are underweight or over weight suffer from many mental, physical
and health problems like depression, hormonal problems, poor health, diabetes,
high blood pressure etc. It is extremely important to maintain ideal weight
for women to lower the risk of these problems.
