Post Pregnancy Weight Loss

Pregnancy : Post Pregnancy Weight Loss Issues:

Women all over the world are very conscious of their appearances and hence their pre-occupation and concern with the aspect of post pregnancy weight loss. A gain of approximately fifteen to twenty pounds is recommended and normal during any pregnancy.

The amount of weight gained by a woman during pregnancy varies from one woman to another. Some women tend to gain too much weight and some tend to gain very little. Gaining very little weight is not recommended as it affects the mother and the child. The nutritionally deficient mother may give birth to small, thin and sickly babies who may suffer from nutritional, mental physical or emotional disorders.

On the other hand gaining too much weight during pregnancy will result in complications during childbirth. The mother may not be able to have a normal delivery and the overweight child may suffer from various health problems and diseases. Moreover the mother may find it difficult to lose all the fat after childbirth.

Women who are healthy and gain the right amount of weight required to meet the needs of motherhood tend to lose all their extra fat within a few months of childbirth. The demands of motherhood and breastfeeding play an important role in losing the excess fat.

Vigorous exercises and diets to help in weight loss immediately after childbirth are not recommended if the mother is breast feeding or has had to undergo a caesarean section. Though women can opt for light forms of exercises and try a little amount of control in their diet. This may help to reduce the excess fat deposits in the body.

Exercises and diets under the supervision of a qualified doctor can help women in their post pregnancy weight loss programs.
