Weight Control Pregnancy

Pregnancy : Weight Control Pregnancy Difficulties

Weight control pregnancy is something which all weight conscious women would like to follow. Though diet charts and plans to follow during pregnancy are easily available it is quite difficult for most women to follow them exactly. The tastes and likings for various kinds of food vary from not just one woman to another but during the entire pregnancy too. Also if women are working, they do not find it easy to follow these planned diets, it gets tedious for them to follow the set diet menus. This makes it difficult for women to follow strict diet charts.

Pregnant women who consult their doctors regularly regarding their health during pregnancy often get the required advice from their doctors and lower their risk of having any complications due to nutritional deficiencies in their pregnancy.

During pregnancy women gain about fifteen to twenty pounds. This gain in weight includes the weight of the baby and the changes like enlarged breasts, bigger uterus, placenta and fluids in the mothers’ body.

Very little gain in weight is not good during pregnancy. As the pregnancy progresses it takes its toll on the mothers’ nutritional and fat deposits. Inadequate fat and nutritional deposits lead to health problems for both the mother and her child. Similarly too much gain in weight is also not advisable as it leads to mothers having complications while going in for normal childbirth and the baby also developing various health problems and diseases later in life.

Too much weight gain and too little weight gain both have an adverse effect on the health of the mother and child. This has led to more and more women following weight control pregnancy schedules under the supervision of their doctors.
